Beer Abt 12 10% 24x33cl Sint-Bernardus | Quadruple
€54,18
Belgique Bouteille Flandre Orientale Noire

Double of the famous Westvleteren 12.

It is the star beer of the Sint-Bernardus brewery. The beer's recipe dates back to 1946, and the result is a dark beer with an ivory-coloured head. It is a top-fermented beer.

The ingredients of the beer are water, sugar, rye malt, yeast and hops from Sint-Bernardus's own hop field.

On the nose, you have a fruity aroma. This aroma is due to the Sint-Bernardus brewery's own specific yeast. On the mouth, you can notice a good balance of bitter and sweet. Even the finish is long bittersweet. The Abt 12 has notes of caramel, chocolate and roasted malt.

The Abt 12 is also one of the strongest beers from the brewery, with a 10% alcohol level.

Belgique Blonde Bouteille Flandre Occidentale supermarket

Tripel Karmeliet is still brewed according to an authentic beer recipe that describes the use of three kinds of cereals: wheat, oats and barley.

The Tripel Karmeliet beer was created back in 1996. The brewer got inspiration from a local bakery and was impressed by their multi-grain bread. Because of this, he was thinking of creating a Tripel beer and worked on refining the recipe for three years.

Afterwards, he had the luck to discover a recipe that dates back to 1679. This beer recipe was very similar to the recipe he was working on. This ancient recipe had a big influence on the modern Tripel Karmeliet recipe. That led to the tripel beer we know today that instantly became a success.

The beer has a nice creamy foam and a golden colour. You have spicy notes and hints of vanilla and citrus on the nose. The Tripel Karmeliet flavour is refreshing with spicy, earthy and sweet notes. The oats bring a creamy mouthfeel and a smooth finish. You can also get notes of banana and vanilla which develop into an orange flavour throughout drinking.

The brewing process of Tripel Karmeliet beer is much longer than usual and takes up to 6 or 7 weeks. It is only to assure quality and flawless taste.

Moreover, the beer has won several awards, including the World Beer Awards, World Beer Championships, The International Beer Challenge and Asia Beer Challenge. You can trust that this beer is pure perfection. A great Belgian classic!

Beer Golden Tricky 7.5% 24x33cl Verzet | Blonde
€56,70
Belgique Bouteille Flandre Orientale

A Belgian IPA. Golden Tricky is brewed with the Australian hop variety Ella. This gives it an exotic fruity flavour that reminds me a bit of conference pears and tangerines. There is also a slight spicy coriander flavour in the background. This, combined with a good bitterness, makes this beer very easy to drink.

The exotic aroma of the beer might trick you into expecting a sweet taste. On the nose, you’ll notice some scents of apricot, mango and passion fruit. But you can prepare for some bitterness in the taste. You’ll get a quick hint of fruit and sweetness in the beginning, but the hop gives it a bitter aftertaste and a dry finish.

The beer has a golden colour and a firm white head. The carbonation is medium to strong.

The Golden Tricky beer was brewed to honour a witty priest in East Flanders.

Where is Golden Tricky beer brewed?

Brewery Verzet is located in Anzegem, Belgium. It is in the Flemish part of Belgium, but not too far from the border of Wallonia.
