Brewery Viven
The Viven brewery is a somewhat special place of production, it is more of a research center than a production brewery. They make their recipes and their test brews in their building then they transfer the recipe and the production to ‘de proefbrouwerij’ not far from there.
Particularity of the place, it is a couple who brews together and suddenly there is a woman who participates in the production process. Which is still too rare in our regions not to be underlined.
Viven beers are modern and innovative beers. The beer styles are clearly skewed towards England; IPA, Porter, Imperial IPA, etc.
The choice to work with another brewery makes it possible to guarantee production in quantity, which would be impossible in the place where they are. In addition, ‘de proefbrouwerij’ already brews many other beers that you may have already drunk without knowing that they were brewed at de Proef.

Over time, the Viven range has grown, and today it has eight fixed beers and several seasonal ones. Located in Vivenkappele, hence the name of the brewery, the owners never wanted to move, and when you visit the brewery, you understand why. It is an old 19th century barn with a charm that is rarely found among their competitors.
