Brewery Lindemans

The Lindemans family has owned a farm in Vlezenbeek (a town on the edge of Brussels) since the dawn of time. This is called the 'Hof ter Kwade Wegen', literally the 'farm of bad roads'. But it brought them luck because since 1822, the brewery has been so successful that today it supplies a large number of gueuziers with lambic so that they can make their gueuzes.

The Lindemans brewery has gone through the ages without ever being worried, it was even able to produce lambic during the war. And even if it was only one brew per month, they were not obliged that the beer be less than 1% (rule imposed by the Germans for breweries during the occupation).

In 1950, there was a turning point, the 30 hectares of the farm were sold and the agricultural production of the farm was definitively stopped. The brewery will source cereals elsewhere, which it was already doing given the growing production at the time.

Today the Lindemans brewery has three catalogs, two of which are known to the general public: the Krieks and Pecheresses series and the more traditional Cuvée René series. The third catalog is actually for professionals, it is about their lambic productions which is colossal.
