      Brewery Effet Papillon

The Effet Papillon brewery is an artisanal microbrewery located in Mérignac, a stone's throw from Bordeaux. Launching a craft brewery in Bordeaux, right in the heart of a wine-centric region, is a daunting challenge that has been brilliantly met by Jocelyn & Mathilde, the two founders of the Effet Papillon brewery.

Some beers from the brewery nevertheless wink at the wines of the region because the Papillon Effect brewery is renowned among connoisseurs for the beers of its "Brett Series" range.

The brewery has its own barrel cellar in which the beers are seeded with wild yeasts of the brettanomyces type. These are real gems and are also packaged in an original bottle format, well known in Italy but not very widespread in France.

Jocylyn was particularly keen on this decision to produce barrel beers because one of the events that led him to launch his own microbrewery was a former professional experience in a cooperage where he had the opportunity to experience the effects of barrel on beer.

This experience and many others are a bit of the essence of the name "Effet Papillon" because it is the sum of these small events that led to a big consequence, namely the creation of the Papillon Effect brewery.
