      Brewery De Leite

The De Leite brewery was born in 2008 in the Polders, between the cities of Bruges and Roeselare.

It already existed before since its founder, Luc Vermeersch, had already been brewing 30-litre brews in the chalet in his garden since 1997.

Specializing in sour and barrel beers, this brewery will delight lovers of gueuzes (even if it does not produce any), sours and seasonal farmhouses.

After ten years of brewing in this chalet, Luc Vermeersch trained as a brewer for one year and it was during this period that the idea of opening a real brewery became obvious.

After only three years, it already had to expand to follow up on its great success despite being located in one of the most proliferating brewing regions in the world, the province of West Flanders.

In 2011, he recovered fourteen barrels of Médoc wine, thus making it possible to make special cuvées. There are more than a hundred of them today as well as eight oak casks with a capacity varying between 4000 and 5000 litres.
