Brewery Bocq
The Bocq brewery launched its first brews in 1858. At the time, it was a farm that only brewed in winter, employees being on the fields all day during the high season.
From 20th century, the brewery increases its production by brewing all year round. This is when the ‘Gauloise’ appeared, which remains the brewery’s oldest beer.
After the wars, the brewery resumed with a vengeance, it bought the 'Centrale' brewery and added its beers to its catalog.
In 1963, the Bocq brewery repatriated these beers to Purnode, where the brewery facilities were modernized. She also signs a contract with ‘Corsendonk’ and has been brewing beer ever since.
The Bocq brewery is one of the largest independent breweries in Wallonia, their products can be found all over Belgium.
Recently, the owners resold the brewery to their partners for the Corsendonk beer that was already brewed on site.
