Brewery Verzet

The small brewery of 't Verzet (understand 'the resistance' in Dutch) appeared in 2011. Andi and Jens, two young people from the small town of Anzegem, joined forces after experimenting with a few brews in their respective cellars.

Fans of music, skateboarding, old cars and their region, they took the opportunity to transcribe some of this passion on their labels and merchandising.
They also support several cultural associations.

They moved into an old barn and haven't moved since. They later built a more modern shed just behind the barn.

What made the 't Verzet brewery famous is undoubtedly their 'Oud Bruin', a tangy and spicy dark beer, which they then derived in several editions (Raspberry, Strawberry, Cherry). To do this, a room dedicated to oak barrels was built to be able to compensate for this important production.

But the one that made them famous is the barrel version with freshly picked oak leaves, the 'Oak Leaf'. This beer has no equivalent currently, the maturation of beer with tree leaves has not yet been done, except by them.

They also have a more classic range with beers for all tastes. Simple achievements but with a bias each time.

Today there are four working full-time in the brewery, they are young and innovative, and yet it is not easy to find your way in this beer-rich region that is the Westhoek.
