Brewery VBDCK

The history of the VBDCK brewery dates back to the year 1867. The company has always remained in the hands of the same family, and they have never sold anything to industrial groups or monks.

Some recipes from the time were almost copied, but these attempts never came to fruition.

The brewery was very successful during the first half of the 20th century. But after the Second World War, the brewery experienced a slump. So much so that in 1966, the sixth generation inherited the brewery but decided to close it. Manufacturers tried to buy it back, but the heirs respected the family's wishes, which was never to sell to such investors.

Between 1966 and 2013, we no longer hear about the brewery and no one suspected a possible resumption of activities. In 2015, however, a new generation relaunched the brewery.

The family has grown through alliances, so there are the Verbeeck, Back and De Cock families. Hence the name of the brewery V (Verbeeck), B (Back) and DCK (De Cock).
