      Brewery de la Lesse

The Lesse brewery is located deep in the province of Namur, in the village of Lessive.

It was former comrades of the patrons who relaunched a brewery in the village. They had created a brotherhood around beer tastings (the Brotherhood of Busson) and, one thing led to another, the idea of setting up a brewery was born.

In 2011, they took over the old Rezette brewery in Eprave, a small town not far from Lessive. They decided to constitute themselves in the form of a cooperative, the aim of which is to promote economic activity in rural areas and to relocate the economy.

The beginnings were difficult, partly due to the more dilapidated equipment than expected. But thanks to the help of more than one hundred and sixty people, the problems were quickly resolved and in 2012, the first brew was born.

In 2017, they must expand as the success is there. The brewery then moved to an old renovated farm a little further. The advantage is that the equipment was at the end of its life and that they were able to assemble everything to measure and that the farm has eco-built sheds, with access to green energy, which correlates with the values of Brewery.

They have a wide choice of style and all the raw materials come from organic farming and the majority also comes from the local economy (90%), which is rather rare. They are also 100% natural, which means no preservatives, colorings, additives, processing aids, flavor enhancers, stabilizers, clarifying agents, foaming agents, correctors, etc.
