      Brewery De Plukker

The brewery-farm ‘De Plukker’ is an autonomous brewery project launched a few years ago in the province of East Flanders.

The goal is to produce the raw material on site to process it in the brewery. At the beginning of the last century, it was common to work like this, to be sure not to be dependent on a supplier, the majority of breweries were also farms.

This return to the roots of the De Plukker brewery is part of the desire to reduce the ecological footprint of the products. This also makes it possible to have quality control over the entire production chain, and today it is still a luxury.

This type of project is very interesting, it's nice to see this kind of initiative. The proximity between the brewery and the primary sector is an advantage for the creation of original recipes.
